~ STATEMENT OF FAITH ~
Triune God
There is one God (Deuteronomy 6:4), eternally existing in three persons of the same essence and power: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Romans 8, Ephesians 1:13-14, 2 Corinthians 13:13, Colossians 1:15-20)

God's Loving Purpose
God created the universe out of his loving purpose (Genesis 1). He is loving, compassionate, just and kind. His deepest desire is to live in an intimate relationship with all people. (Cor John 3:16-17)

Human Nature
Created in God's image, all humans have worth, value and dignity. (Genesis 2) Their worth is dependent not on accomplishments, but on God's love. Because God sees humanity as worth dying for, we affirm and acknowledge the dignity of humans.
At the same time, all people are born into the inborn sickness and brokenness of Sin making them unable by nature to have true love and trust of God. (Romans 3:9-20, 1:18-32) Sin corrupts all of our relationships. God's work in Christ restores fallen humanity's worth. (Romans 3:23 )

Jesus Christ
Out of His desire to live in a relationship with us, God became a human being. Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, is fully God and fully human. (Galatians 4:4-7) Jesus Christ to died for our sins, and rose from the dead that we might be reconciled to God. (Romans 4:25 , 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 10:39 -43) We believe that Jesus Christ is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. (John 14:6) Through Him and Him alone can people enter into a relationship with God.

Salvation
All have sinned, but all can be saved. Salvation is an unmerited gift of God.(Ephesians 2:1-10) The death of Christ on the cross is the only sufficient payment for our sins. (Acts 4:12, Romans 5:5-10) Through faith alone in Jesus Christ, We receive forgiveness, righteousness, and life everlasting as a free gift. Any who put their trust in Christ as Savior can be assured of eternal life. (Romans 3:21-26, 6:23 , 10:9, John 5:24) Being made right with God through faith, we enter a lifelong process of change and growth into a new life in Christ. (Romans 12:2, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20)

Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the presence of Jesus Christ among us today. The Holy Spirit produces faith in those who hear the Gospel.(Galatians 3:14 ) Through Him God loves us, empowers us and lives in us. The Spirit gives gifts to all believers. We believe in all the gifts of the Spirit and encourage their use. (Acts 2, 1 Corinthians 12:1-31, 14:1-25, Romans 12)

Church
We believe that the church, be it a local congregation or the worldwide fellowship of believers, is the body of Christ. (Ephesians 4:4-6, Romans 12:5) As an assembly of believers who are simultaneously sinners and saints, the Church by the work of the Holy Spirit helps people discover the faith through the teaching of the Gospel and growing them become fully devoted followers of Christ. (Ephesians 4:1-16) As His Body, we are called to worship Him, serve Him by living new lives which produce good works and good fruits in the purpose of the LORD. (1 John 4:19, Philippians 2:13)

Bible
We believe God reveals Himself to us through His Word. The Bible is the Word of God. The entire Bible is God-breathed and God-inspired. The Bible is the final authority in matters of faith and life. (2 Timothy 3:16, Psalm 119:105)

Priesthood of all believers
Every Christian is uniquely gifted and called by God into works of ministry and service that honor God and that benefit others.
(1 Pet 2:9-10, Revelation 1:5-6)

Sacraments
We teach that Jesus instituted Holy Baptism and the Lord's Supper. We teach that God truly acts in these sacraments, and that our faith is essential for their effectiveness. (Mark 16:16 , 1 Corinthians 11:29, John 3:16)

The waters of Baptism affirm God's gift of forgiveness, eternal life, and God's guiding Spirit. Before we can ever claim God as our own, God has claimed and adopted us as God's very own. (Acts 2:37 -39, Romans 6:3-6)

In Holy Communion, Christ has promised to be present through the bread and wine of this holy meal. Christ invites us to come and receive this gift to provide forgiveness and spiritual nourishment for new life as children of God. (John 6:51 , 1 Corinthians 10:16 -17)

Christ's Return
We believe in and anticipate the return of Jesus Christ to reign forever to exercise absolute justice over evil. Though we don't know the day or hour, we joyfully proclaim His soon return to inspire all people to make the most of life today. (Mark 13, 1 Thessalonians 4:13 -18)

Our Lutheran Heritage and Identity:
We identify with the renewal movement begun in the Lutheran Reformation. We affirm the centrality of grace through faith alone, scripture alone, and Christ alone.

On Human Sexuality
We teach that the possibility for a full and healthy sexual relationship exists only within the confines the covenant of marriage -- one man and one woman. We believe that sexual brokenness is but one of many manifestations of the tragic nature of our humanity. We do not affirm a hierarchy of brokenness and we affirm God's forgiveness of all sins in Christ.
